In their biggest win of the season, the San Jose State University (SJSU) Spartans kept their bowl hopes alive by defeating New Mexico State University (NMSU) 51-17 on Saturday. The victory marked a significant turnaround for the team, which had been struggling to find its footing in recent weeks.

'This week in practice we really focused on details - just do your job and everything will work out,' said Tomey, reflecting on his team's preparation. 'Everyone just wanted to win.'

The Spartans' offense exploded, with Dante Collins scoring two rushing touchdowns and receiver Kevin Jurovich catching 10 passes for 233 yards and two TDs.

'Last week's game was tough, but we didn't execute,' said Jurovich. 'This time around, we made some good plays in some tough spots.'
